Bayer HealthCare and Comecer agree Intego distribution deal
Bayer HealthCare is to expand its expanding its global distribution network for the Medrad Intego PET (positron emission tomography) Infusion System via a new agreement with the nuclear medicine specialist Comecer.
The new offering will combine the clinical administration capabilities of Intego with Comecer's protection technologies, thus providing an integrated nuclear medicine solution for PET/computed tomography centres worldwide.
Intego is a global market leader in this field, offering on-demand dosing capabilities to provide greater flexibility, enhanced workflow, added protection and more accurate dosages that can be tailored to patient needs.
Doug Descalzi, Bayer HealthCare's senior director of molecular imaging devices, said: "We're pleased to be working with Comecer to not only provide greater patient access to Intego, but also to provide comprehensive product solutions to nuclear medicine suites around the world."
Earlier this month, Bayer announced positive data from Chest-2, a new clinical study assessing the benefits of its innovative new hypertension therapy riociguat.
