Bio-Rad announces second quarter growth
Bio-Rad Laboratories has announced is enjoyed an increase of 33 per cent in sales during the second quarter of 2008.
The multinational manufacturer and distributor of life science research and clinical diagnostics products revealed its second-quarter sales were 452.4 million dollars (226 million pounds), which is more than one third up on the same period in 2007.
Norman Schwartz, the firm’s president and chief executive officer, said the organisation is pleased with its performance in the first half of this year.
"During the second quarter, we saw an increase in organic growth within our core businesses as well as broad customer acceptance of new products. As the year continues, we will continue to focus on the integration of DiaMed," he added.
Bio-Rad recently received two life science industry awards at The Scientist’s 2008 Industry Awards.
