Blue Rubicon wins brief to promote London’s Tech City

20th November 2012

Blue Rubicon has won a new contract to carry out PR work that will support efforts to raise the profile of London's Tech City business district, according to a new report.

PRWeek has been informed that the agency is set to take over the brief from incumbent Hill and Knowlton Strategies following a competitive pitch, coming as part of wider government efforts to grow the digital economy.

The Tech City area is based around London's Old Street and has been earmarked as a potential rival to Silicon Valley in the US, with potential to be promoted as an important business hub for the UK and internationally.

Facebook's European boss Joanna Shields has already been hired to lead the project, while Amazon has chosen Tech City as its centre for technology and digital innovations and Google is set to launch a campus to support start-up businesses.

Blue Rubicon has a strong history of working with high-profile technology brands including Facebook, eBay, Blu-Ray, Three and O2.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801491273-ADNFCR
