Boehringer Ingelheim appoints new UK managing director

15th January 2014

Boehringer Ingelheim has announced the appointment of Zinta Krumins as its new managing director for the UK and Ireland.

Ms Krumins began her Boehringer Ingelheim career in 1989 at the Bracknell-based UK division she now leads. She has experience in heading up national operations for the company, having been managing director of its Turkish branch for six years and head of its Nordics business for a further 12 months.

Having experienced a variety of different management groups, viewpoints and legislative scenarios, she returns to take charge of the firm's British business at a time when the NHS is undergoing major changes.

She will be tasked with helping to demonstrate the value and patient benefits provided by Boehringer Ingelheim's portfolio of medicines.

Ms Krumins said: "My UK team has been working hard to meet the changing requirements of the evolving NHS and I am confident we are in a good position."

Earlier this month, the company announced a new antibody discovery collaboration with Crystal Bioscience, which will involve the development of treatments against multiple targets.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801682383-ADNFCR
