Boehringer Ingelheim to raise money for Hounds for Heroes
Boehringer Ingelheim has pledged to raise 20,000 pounds for the Hounds for Heroes charity through a new campaign that will run until the end of December 2013.
The company will be making donations to the charity for every pack sold of the animal health product Seraquin, with an additional pound to be contributed for every person taking part in a photo-sharing promotion on the new Seraquin Facebook page.
Boehringer Ingelheim has also produced a Seraquin Hounds for Heroes’ poster for veterinary practices to put up in their waiting rooms and will be carrying out special promotional events.
Hounds for Heroes provides specially-trained assistance dogs for injured or disabled men and women from either the UK armed forces or civilian emergency services.
As well as offering companionship, the animals are able to assist with tasks such as opening doors, retrieving items and picking up money from ATMs.
Rob Lucy, small animal brand manager at Boehringer Ingelheim, said: “Hounds for Heroes is an inspirational charity that really makes a difference to those who have been injured or disabled while putting their lives on the line for their country.”
