Bristol-Myers Squibb extends managed services agreement with BT
Bristol-Myers Squibb has extended its managed services arrangement with telecommunications company BT.
Under the terms of the new contract, BT will continue to manage the pharmaceutical firm's global network services until 2017, thus continuing a successful partnership that has been ongoing since 2005.
The extended agreement covers outsourced networked services – including wide area and local area networks – on a global basis, as well as remote access, voice and telephony infrastructure.
According to BT, the partnership introduces increased standardisation and innovation to Bristol-Myers Squibb's network services, thus delivering improved value.
Rick Yborra, vice-president for network and hosting services at Bristol-Myers Squibb, said: "BT provides us with the type of world-class network that is necessary for a global biopharma company to operate effectively."
This comes after the drugmaker recently announced an expanded alliance with Ensemble Therapeutics, which utilises innovative drug discovery platforms against a number of targets.
