Bristol-Myers Squibb to report liver disease drug data at AASLD
Bristol-Myers Squibb is to publish new clinical data on a number of its liver disease research projects at the forthcoming American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) annual meeting.
The company will attend the San Francisco conference in November 2011 in order to present 22 abstracts on a number of developmental compounds that could play a key role in addressing unmet clinical needs.
Among the presentations will be data from a phase IIIb study of Baraclude for chronic hepatitis B, as well as the investigational BMS-790052, BMS-650032 and PEG-interferon lambda for hepatitis C.
Further information will also be provided on the clinical development of the hepatocellular carcinoma therapy brivanib.
Dr Brian Daniels, senior vice-president from global development and medical affairs for research and development at Bristol-Myers Squibb, said: "Bristol-Myers Squibb is at the forefront of innovation in researching the treatment of liver diseases."
Last week, the company announced a new collaboration with Ambrx, which will focus on the development of new therapies for diabetes and heart failure.
