CareFusion launches ReVel emergency transport ventilator
CareFusion has announced the launch of its new high-performance portable device for use in emergency ventilation applications.
The company's new ReVel ventilator is designed for use among child and adult patients who require medical attention during emergency transportation, complementing the CareFusion Alternate Care portfolio.
It is a lightweight device that mounts easily in ground and air emergency vehicles and can be used to support the most critical, intubated and non-invasively ventilated patients, as well as offering multiple monitoring and clinical tools.
This is the second palm-top ventilator to be introduced by the manufacturer, following the launch of the CareFusion EnVe ventilator in December 2010.
Kevin Ketzel, general manager for respiratory technologies at CareFusion, said: "The ReVel allows clinicians to provide paediatric and adult patients with the highest level of care with a lightweight and portable system through the continuum of care."
Last month, the company published its financial results for the 12 months ending on June 30th 2011, during which it experienced year-on-year revenue growth of two percent.
