The deal is worth an initial 600,000 pounds, with an additional performance-related consideration of up to 900,000 pounds also included in the terms of the transaction.
Established by Jane Ayton and Marianne MacDonald in 2009, Mash is a specialist provider of consultancy and communications services to pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and consumer healthcare clients, including Reckitt Benckiser, GlaxoSmithKline, Bristol Myers-Squibb and Bayer.
It won the pharmaceutical marketing excellence award for education at the 2012 Communique Awards and will become part of the Cello Health group following the takeover.
Stephen Highley, chairman of Cello Health, said: "Mash is a well-established brand particularly in the consumer end of the pharmaceutical space and this acquisition further reinforces our strong position in the consumer healthcare market."
Mash Health joins a number of top agency brands under the Cello Health umbrella, including the likes of RS Consulting, Insight Research Group and the MSI Consultancy.
