Chime Communications sees strong healthcare growth in 2012
Chime Communications has described 2012 as a year of "strong performance" for its ongoing businesses, with its healthcare division playing a key role.
The communications group's operating income rose by 35 percent year on year to 157.5 million pounds, while its profit levels surged by 64 percent to 25.7 million pounds.
Strong growth of the company's healthcare, sport and entertainment, and insight and engagement business units all contributed to this performance, with healthcare having been successfully established as Chime's fifth division, increasing its operating profit to 2.2 million pounds from 0.2 million pounds last year.
Chime also invested in its digital offering, opened new offices in Europe, the Far East and Australasia, and acquired businesses such as Succinct Communications and pH Associates last year.
Christopher Satterthwaite, chief executive of Chime Communications, said: "This concentration of activity in specific sectors and expansion geographically positions us strongly for future long-term growth."
The group now comprises 51 companies, employing more than 1,500 people across the world.
