Clinova outlines ambitious growth plans through to 2020
Clinova's co-founder and director of research and development Arsalan Karim has expressed confidence that the company will be able to maintain its strong growth for the remainder of the current decade.
In an interview with OneMedRadio, the healthcare expert noted that Clinova is currently one of the fastest-growing over-the-counter brands in the UK and expects to build on this expansion with new pipeline products such as Repelsect, Quash and Covaflu.
At present, the company sells its products in 13 countries but expects to increase this number to 31 by the end of this year, a process that will be facilitated by new joint ventures and international partnerships.
According to Mr Karim, the firm wishes to emulate the successful growth of Belgium's Omega Pharma, with its goal for the next five to ten years being to launch at least ten products in a minimum of 20 countries.
"That's our focus and if we do manage to execute that level of growth, I think we will be in a really good position by 2020," he said.
Clinova was formally incorporated as a limited company in 2006 and was set up by Mr Karim in association with his former University of Portsmouth classmates Charles Ebubedike and Jim Tremouliaris.
