Cook Group elects vice-president of public policy
Cook Group has announced the appointment of the respected industry veteran Gretchen Gutman as its vice-president of public policy.
Ms Gutman brings 20 years of experience in legislative and government policy to her new role, having most recently served as associate vice-president for governmental relations at Ball State University.
Prior to this, she spent eight years as chief advisor to the US Senate Finance Committee of the Indiana General Assembly and was a partner at the law firm Taft Stettinius and Hollister, where she worked directly with Cook on various policy issues.
Dan Peterson, vice-president of industry and government affairs for the Cook Group, said: "The healthcare industry is constantly facing changes and issues at all levels of government policy. Gretchen will be a tremendous addition to our government affairs efforts across the globe."
This comes after the firm appointed Nicky James as vice-president and global leader of its aortic intervention clinical division in August 2013.
