Corin earns top ODEP ratings for hip products
Corin has earned top ratings for its portfolio of hip products from the UK's Orthopaedic Data Evaluation Panel (ODEP).
The organisation – commissioned by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) in 2003 – has independently assessed the clinical performance of a number of Corin products and awarded them top marks.
TaperFit, Corin's collarless total hip stem, received a 10A rating to show that there was strong evidence it can provide greater than 90 percent survivorship after ten years.
Meanwhile, the Trinity advanced bearing acetabular system, MiniHip bone conserving hip replacement and MetaFix hip replacement offering received 3A ratings, indicating greater than 97 percent survivorship at three years.
The company said: "Corin is committed to the responsible development of innovative products and will continue to invest significantly in robust clinical research in partnership with leading global clinical centres."
A world leader in the development of reconstructive orthopaedic devices, Corin has direct operations in six of the world's major orthopaedic markets and distributes products to more than 30 countries.
