Covance to broadcast revenues online

Covance will screen the announcement of its second quarter 2008 financial results online.

The global drug-developing giant will make its quarterly investor conference call available to hear via a webcast broadcast on the firm’s website.

It will take place live on Thursday July 31st at 09:00 local time.

The second quarter earnings are expected to be issued after market close on July 30th.

Covance recently appointed Joseph Scodari, the former vice chairman of the Biotechnology Industry Organisation board, as a director.

The firm’s chairman and chief executive, Joe Herring, said that the firm was "very pleased" to have Mr Scodari on the board as he had enjoyed a "distinguished 34-year career as a key leader in the industry".

With its headquarters in New Jersey, Covance claims to be one of the world’s largest drug development services operating in 20 countries with annual revenues greater than $1.4 billion (£700 million).
