Dako signs new supply agreement with Panagene

25th February 2013

Dako has agreed a new supply alliance with Panagene, a worldwide custom PNA (peptide nucleic acid) oligomer provider.

The agreement will see Panagene become the exclusive supplier of PNA oligomer key components for use as raw materials in Dako's tissue-based cancer diagnostic products and research offerings.

PNA (Peptide Nucleic Acid) is an artificially synthesised DNA analogue with multiple life science sector applications, thanks to its increased binding affinity, specificity and sensitivity to the target and high biological/chemical stability.

Panagene is known for producing PNA probes of high quality and yield using its proprietary synthesis technology and has previously partnered with a number of other leading companies.

Dr Sung Kee Kim, president and chief executive officer of Panagene, said: "This agreement proves again that we are the world leader in the production of high-quality PNA probes for research and diagnostic applications."

This comes after Dako and Pfizer agreed to collaborate on the development of several companion diagnostic products in future.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801546473-ADNFCR
