Data storage firm Brocade seeks UK PR partner

A new UK PR partner is currently being sought by Brocade, the US-based multinational provider of data storage solutions.

The company confirmed to PRWeek that it is reviewing its relationship with incumbent Spreckley Partners as part of a due diligence process after working with the agency for five years.

Stuart Marks, senior manager of corporate comms for Brocade in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, confirmed the news to the publication, with the review only set to relate to the firm's commercial activities in the UK.

It is understood that Speed Communications and Zeno Group are among the agencies pitching for the new assignment, though it is not yet known whether Spreckley Partners will re-pitch, while former Brocade partners Weber Shandwick and Hotwire will not be involved.

Edelman was appointed to lead the social media strategy for Brocade – which works with agencies on a national level – in the US market in 2010.

The organisation is one of the largest of its kind in the world, with Brocade solutions used in more than 90 percent of Global 1000 data centres.
