Eisai provides Hurricane Sandy relief donations
Eisai has announced that it will be providing cash donations to support the Hurricane Sandy relief efforts in the US and the Caribbean.
The firm has expressed its sympathies for those affected by the natural disaster and will be providing $150,000 (94,100 pounds) to assist hurricane victims.
Its charitable arm, the Eisai USA Foundation, will donate $100,000 to the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund, while $50,000 will go to the American Red Cross.
This money will help ease the burden and suffering of those affected and contribute the quick and complete recovery of the regions that have been devastated by the storms.
A statement from the company said: "Eisai sincerely hopes that its support will help the people affected by this disaster and prays for the speedy recovery of the afflicted region."
Last month, Eisai announced a new alliance with the Fundacao Oswaldo Cruz in Brazil, which will involve collaborative research into new therapies for malaria and neglected tropical diseases.
