Henry Schein Minerva highlights success of dentistry courses

6th September 2012

Henry Schein Minerva has hailed the success of the programme of undergraduate dentistry courses it has been providing to UK students over the last two years.

The company has been running courses on laser dentistry, patient behaviour and supply and manufacturing for year five students at King's College London Dental Institute for some time, and has now commenced work with the University of Bristol's year three and four students.

It is providing the undergraduates with an introduction to key clinical issues, while also helping them to get to grips with the business skills they will need in future.

According to the company, the courses have been well-received, thanks to a growing awareness among students that it is important to possess these skills.

Amanda Notman, special markets manager at Henry Schein Minerva, said: "We are the best-placed distributor with a wide overview of the whole industry, making us perfectly placed to offer this educational support to the next generation of dental professionals."

Last year, the firm teamed up with Bridge2Aid to provide King's College London students with grants for a student elective programme in Tanzania.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801444203-ADNFCR
