Ivoclar Vivadent agrees new milling partnership with Zimmer/Zfx

Ivoclar Vivadent has announced that it has formed a new milling collaboration with Zimmer/Zfx, an international provider of CAD/CAM solutions.

The firm has become the latest member of the Authorised Milling Partner programme, allowing Zimmer/Zfx to optimally integrate the all-ceramic materials of Ivoclar Vivadent into its range of services.

Covering products such as the patented lithium disilicate glass-ceramic IPS E.max CAD and IPS Empress CAD, as well as Telio CAD for long-term temporisation, the agreement also allows Zimmer/Zfx to supply Ivoclar Vivadent materials directly to customers.

The Authorised Milling Partner programme was launched in March 2011 and has proven a success, with Ivoclar Vivadent supporting members of the scheme with guidance on the successful use of its CAD/CAM materials.

In March 2013, the firm announced that fellow dental technology firm Camlog had joined the initiative, allowing it to integrate Ivoclar Vivadent materials into the services provided by its new digital prosthetics division Dedicam.
