Kruuse acquires Danish animal health firm E-vet
Kruuse has announced the completion of its acquisition of the animal health company E-vet from Eldorado Group.
E-vet is headquartered in Haderslev, employing a total of 20 members of staff, and acts as a supplier to the veterinary industry with a special focus on Denmark and Scandinavia.
Following the takeover, the firm will continue to operate as an individually-managed company providing veterinary products and education services, with its current leadership team – headed by Karl Erik Bering and Borge Lausen – to remain in place.
The acquisition will complement the business strategies of both companies, while also strengthening the availability of high-value solutions to veterinary professionals.
Jesper Gedso Smith, chief executive officer of Jorgen Kruuse, said: "We have great respect for E-vet … We see the ownership of E-vet as a long-term investment, where we intend to
contribute to the company's positive development."
Earlier this year, the company expanded its UK product range with the launch of a range of sterile surgical disposable drapes and gowns for equine surgeons, as well as a pair of new wound dressing products.
