Lab M names new UK account managers

Lab M has announced the recruitment of Sue Macauley-Patrick and David Matthews as key account managers as it seeks to further expand its UK sales team.

The life science firm has recruited the two new staff members to support its sustained growth both domestically and internationally, with both appointments offering extensive sales experience and knowledge of microbiology laboratories and applications.

Ms Macauley-Patrick is a microbiologist with specialist knowledge of fermentation, while Mr Matthews began his career with a government research institute before working with companies operating in sectors such as academia, food and beverages, pharmaceuticals and utilities.

Lab M's managing director Ian Morris said: "These key account appointments for the UK come as the result of successful and continuing development as we prepare to introduce more new products during the course of this year."

The company has been seeking to generate forward momentum since relocating to its new headquarters at Quest Park in Heywood, Greater Manchester.

In March, Lab M hosted a meeting of the Eastern Region Association of Microbiologists at the site, the first time it has been able to make its new facilities available for an industry event of this kind.
