Malvern’s Zetasizer Nano praised by Birck Nanotechnology Center
Malvern Instruments has won a recommendation for its Zetasizer Nano particle characterisation system from the Birck Nanotechnology Center (BNC).
The research centre, which is located within the Discovery Park of Purdue University in Indiana, has been utilising the system within its chemical nanotechnology and microfluidics laboratory.
It states that the Malvern device, which can measure the size, zeta potential and molecular weight of particles, has proven ideally suited to its multidisciplinary research environment thanks to its versatile functionality.
Lisa Reece, lab director of the Indiana-Clinical Translational Sciences Institute BioNanotechnology Core Facility at the BNC, said: "We're doing cutting-edge work at the BNC in a very exciting atmosphere, where biological applications intersect with other areas of science. It's truly multidisciplinary and we need instrumentation that supports that."
She added that the level of customer service and expertise offered by Malvern were also major contributing factors.
This week, the company announced that it will be sponsoring UK Colloids 2011, a new international colloid and surface science symposium taking place in London next month.
