Merck Millipore launches tangential flow filtration solution

Merck Millipore has introduced its latest tangential flow filtration solution for use in the clinical development and manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals.

The Mobius FlexReady Solution with Smart Flexware Assemblies features novel, single-use flow paths to deliver the highest level of operational flexibility and scalability, as well as being fully automated, standardised and ready to implement.

A modular system that is quick and easy to set up, the new product provides the ability to switch from TFF to chromatography with few component changes, making it suitable for a wide range of concentration and diafiltration processes.

It also provides a variety of recycle vessel configurations and a number of other options to ensure it can accommodate all manner of applications and scenarios.

Vin Donovan, vice-president of biopharmaceutical process solutions at Merck Millipore, said: "With the introduction of this fully automated Mobius single-use TFF system, we are able to provide our customers that require a high level of processing control a choice for performing their ultrafiltration/diafiltration operations."

Last month, the company launched its new PDReady Monoclonal Antibodies Kit, for use in accelerating process development during drug production.
