Merial announces Eqvalan Duo Smart worming bus tour

Merial has announced that its Eqvalan Duo Smart worming bus will be visiting nine UK locations in early 2012 to provide guidance and advice for animal health professionals.

The touring bus is designed as a convenient way to help vets gain anthelmintic continuous professional development training at a variety of locations across the country, including Aberdeen, Birmingham, Shropshire, Gloucestershire, Cornwall and Bedfordshire.

Attendees will be able to gain access to Animal Medicines Training Regulatory Authority-accredited tutelage combining in-depth presentations with video material.

Issues that will be covered include how to manage worm egg counts and the provision of practical advice on targeted worming for clients and customers.

The Smart approach to effective equine worm control was developed by Merial and involves simply monitoring the situation regularly, assessing risk using a worm egg count and providing treatment with an appropriate wormer if necessary.

Merial's new training initiative will help to promote the benefits of its Eqvalan wormer range, of which more than 200 million doses have been administered worldwide over 25 years.
