Merial provides 1,000th equine flu vaccine donation to RDA

21st June 2013

Merial has earned the gratitude of the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) for the continued support it has provided the charity since 2011.

The animal health company has been contributing free supplies of the equine influenza vaccine ProteqFlu to the RDA for two years and recently made its 1,000th donation, thus helping the not-for-profit group save a small fortune.

Dedicated to helping people with disabilities, the RDA organises activities such as riding, carriage driving, vaulting and showjumping for up to 28,000 people each year.

Merial's contributions have played a vital role in helping the charity to keep its ponies and horses healthy.

Ed Bracher, the RDA's chief executive, said: "This kind of support is vital both in terms of keeping the horses fit for purpose and allowing our volunteers to concentrate on delivering the service to people with disabilities."

ProteqFlu is approved in Europe for the vaccination of horses against equine influenza and tetanus from four months of age.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801602725-ADNFCR
