Nobel Biocare reports rising revenues and profits in 2012
Nobel Biocare has announced its financial results for the 2012 full-year period, during which it generated revenue of 580.5 million euros (500.96 million pounds).
This represented a year-on-year increase of two percent, while the company's net profit level saw a more significant annual increase of 15.3 percent to 45.8 million euros.
During the last 12 months, Nobel Biocare has been able to reverse a negative trend in terms of market share within its core implant business, while its ongoing efforts to improve efficiency are yielding results.
In 2013, the company is hoping to modestly build market share and deliver revenue growth in trading conditions that are likely to be similar to those seen last year.
Richard Laube, Nobel Biocare's chief executive officer, said: "We anticipate the market environment to remain difficult in the short term, but we are rebuilding Nobel Biocare to perform in all conditions."
Last month, the company announced that nomination of Franz Maier, a medical industry veteran, as a new member of its board of directors.
