Nokia to launch review of global PR agency relationships
Mobile telecommunications giant Nokia is set to carry out a global PR agency relationships review covering multiple markets.
This is according to anonymous sources cited by The Holmes Report, with the process said to be in its early stages and driven by the Finnish company's procurement department.
Currently, the Next 15 group is responsible for overseeing the company's PR activities in the UK and North America, following a review that took place in 2011.
Since this time, Next 15 agencies such as Bite Communications and Text 100 have supported the firm's efforts to rebuild its reputation, which have been met with a certain level of success thanks to its partnership with Microsoft and strong sales of its Lumia range.
Next 15 has been informed of the beginning of this new process, which comes weeks after BlackBerry, Samsung and Motorola all announced similar plans to review their PR strategies.
The Nokia group employs around 139,000 people around the world and serves a customer base that is estimated to exceed 1.3 billion consumers.
