Norbrook Laboratories launches Noroquin for horses
Norbrook Laboratories has expanded its Noroquin joint treatment range with the addition of new product options for horse owners.
The glucosamine-based supplement range has been broadened with the addition of powder and paste offerings for equines, following the successful recent launch of products for dogs and cats.
Norbrook states that the powder option is highly palatable and can be easily mixed into regular food, while the paste is apple-flavoured and can be fed directly to the horse as a treat.
The Noroquin products will help horse owners to avoid lameness resulting from osteoarthritis, which is known to be the leading cause of disability among athletic horses.
Michelle Jones, brand manager of Norbrook, said: "Our Noroquin for Horses range can be offered as alternative to traditional pain management products indicated for musculoskeletal ailments or alongside them as a completely safe addition to a joint management programme."
In November 2011, the company added a new non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug called Loxicom Injection to its range, which is designed for use among horses, cattle and pigs.
