Novartis Announces Performance Statistics for Kesimpta
Axonal weakness and tissue breakdown in the brain, optic nerves, and spinal cord are hallmarks of the neurological condition known as multiple sclerosis (MS). 2 million individuals globally are affected by MS.
Research revealed that the Kesimpta medication was consistently successful among individuals suffering from relapsing kinds of multiple sclerosis (RMS).
Furthermore, a large percentage of the patient data set had “no evidence of disease activity”.
There was an obvious decline in overall risk mitigation in the second and third year after shifting from teriflunomide to Kesimpta.
Changing to Kesimpta therapy also resulted in a greater reduction of MRI lesions.
Ludwig Kappos, the chief examiner, stated that “combined with its favourable safety profile, these findings support Kesimpta as a well- tolerated, efficacious treatment option for RMS patients.”
