PerkinElmer launches new version of inform imaging software
PerkinElmer has announced the launch of the latest version of inForm, its patented automated software for accurately quantifying biomarker expression in tumours and surrounding tissues.
The new program is designed for studying the location and quantification of biomarkers within tissue sections and is available in two distinct packages.
With the inForm Tissue Finder offering, researchers can link the software to the Vectra intelligent multispectral slide analysis system to uncover relationships between multiplexed markers when studying disease and developing treatments.
Meanwhile, the inForm Cell Analysis package is aimed at pathologists and oncologists looking for a lower-cost option, as they have reduced throughput demands and less of a need for the automated tissue segmentation tools of the full version.
The manufacturer said: "Users can look at regions of interest across multiple slides and batches. This capability of identifying sub-populations in tissue is unlike any software available."
Earlier this month, PerkinElmer launched a panel of nine new epigenetic research assay kits, which are designed for use in the detection of endogenous histone modifications.
