PerkinElmer launches OneSource Strategic Lab Solutions

PerkinElmer has announced that its OneSource Strategic Lab Solutions brand is to be expanded to incorporate strategic laboratory consulting services.

The new OneSource Strategic Lab Solutions offering will help clients to identify and implement new processes and services to improve their laboratory workflow and optimise capital assets.

It will cover not only the use of instruments, but also laboratory IT systems, staff and processes, with PerkinElmer to provide solutions pertaining to efficiency and productivity, lab assessment, strategic prioritisation and scientific knowledge management.

Currently, PerkinElmer manages more than 500,000 laboratory assets across more than 300 sites in over 120 countries through OneSource Laboratory Services.

Dusty Tenney, president of environmental health at PerkinElmer, said: "Our new consulting services are a natural expansion of our OneSource Laboratory Services, in which we have a strong track record of improving laboratory efficiency up to 30 percent."

Earlier this month, the company announced a collaboration with Blaze Bioscience to provide a new type of tumour imaging technology for use in surgical oncology research.
