Pfizer looks to create new opportunities

Pfizer has announced a new head of investor relations who said one of his aims to create new growth opportunities for the company.

Charles E Triano is to join Pfizer as the senior vice-president of investor relations from June 23rd and be reponsible for the communication of operational and financial performance with the relevant groups.

He described the company as “a global leader” and said he is looking forward to “accelerating the pipeline and capturing new opportunities for global growth”.

Mr Triano previously served as vice-president of investor relations at Forest Laboratories.

Meanwhile, this week saw Pfizer review its progress regarding its oncology pipeline, which it said was “robust and growing”.

The company now reserves over a fifth of its overall budget to this area of research and has 22 oncology compounds housing 232 clinical studies.
