Pliva has announced plans to delist itself from the London Stock Exchange (LSE).
The firm made this commitment after the termination of its GDR Deposit Agreement, with Deutsche Bank acting as its GDR Depositary.
Originally announced on March 18th 2008, this termination became effective on June 19th 2008.
The company forecast its delisting from the LSE would conclude on or before July 22nd 2008, while it said ordinary shares in the firm would continue to be listed on the Zagreb Stock Exchange in Croatia.
In August 2007, Pliva said the resignation of its board member Paul M Bisaro, the president and chief operating officer of parent firm Basrr Pharmaceuticals, would not affect the integration of Pliva into the firm, a process that was almost finalised.
The company reported the appointment of chairman and chief executive officer Bruce L Downey to interim president and chief operating officer of Barr, with the appropriate changes made to the reporting structure within the company.
In August 2007, Pliva announced the appointment of Michael Bogda and Christine Mundkur to its management board.
They are executive vice-president of global product supply and executive vice-president of quality, safety and regulatory affairs at Barr respectively.
