Practice Works Carestream Dental donates CBCT imaging unit to university

27th March 2013

Practice Works Carestream Dental has made a gesture to help dental professionals of the future by donating a cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) imaging unit to the University of Florida College of Dentistry.

This equipment – the CS 9300 – will enable dentistry students at the learning institute to make the most of the latest in dental X-ray technology, while also benefiting uninsured patients who receive treatment at the campus teaching clinic.

Marc Gordon, general manager of US equipment and software at Carestream Dental, said: "Partnering with dental schools across North America is rewarding for Carestream Dental because we believe that training with the latest technology is essential to the next generation of dental practitioner."

Students who use the CS 9300 will find the equipment covers a wide range of clinical needs and boasts high image quality and imaging flexibility, while it also includes up to seven selectable fields of view for 3D images.
