Red Consultancy hires new health practice head

Red Consultancy has announced the appointment of Jennifer Garratt as the new managing director of its health practice Red Health.

Ms Garratt has left her position of head of international operations at Reynolds-Mackenzie to take up the new role, an appointment that will leverage her 15 years of experience in scientific publishing, medical education and comms strategy development.

She has been hired as the successor to Paul Gittins, the founder of Red Health, who left the company earlier this year to head up the health and bioscience practice at Edelman.

Red Consultancy's deputy chief executive officer Amanda Duncan said: "She can provide the highest calibre client counsel in developing strategies to meet all manner of healthcare market challenges across numerous therapeutic areas."

Founded in 2007, the Red Health practice serves clients such as Astellas, Novo Nordisk, Janssen and Pfizer and has also worked on behalf of the government and patient organisations on various campaigns.
