Royal Canin named official sponsor of International Cat Association

16th July 2009

Royal Canin has been named as the official sponsor of the International Cat Association (TICA).

In a statement, the organisation, which was also recently announced as one of the sponsors of the 2009 edition of DockDogs, explained that it now plans to collaborate with TICA to provide information about feline health and nutrition.

The company works with a wide array of different parties around the world, from nutritionists and vets to breeders and industry bodies, to undertake research and ensure that cats receive the best nutrition available to them.

Commenting on the partnership, Sharon Lund, breeder programme manager at Royal Canin, said that the firm prides itself on placing its focus on knowledge and respect for the animals.

“TICA is also dedicated to educating communities about cats’ health and welfare and through our sponsorship of their shows we will be able to reach out to more cat owners,” she added.
