Simplyhealth selects new major accounts head

Simplyhealth has promoted long-time employee Chris Moore to the role of head of major accounts.

Mr Moore has been working for the health and dental plan provider for more than 13 years and moves into the new position from his previous role as a key account manager.

As head of major accounts, he will be tasked with dealing with Simplyhealth's most prominent corporate clients and help them to select the plans that will be of greatest benefits to their staff.

Mr Moore stated that he will also take responsibility for raising awareness of its bespoke self-funded offering, which could deliver a range of cost efficiency benefits to customers.

"This role will give me the opportunity not only to further develop key relationships with our large clients and intermediaries but also to actively drive new business," he added.

Earlier this month, Simplyhealth won a prize at the 2011 Business Charity Awards in honour of charitable initiatives it has conducted over the last year.
