Steris reports revenue growth in first quarter of 2014

9th August 2013

Steris has announced its financial results for the first quarter of its 2014 fiscal year, during which it experienced a nine percent year-on-year increase in revenues.

The medical technology firm's revenue total for the three months ending on June 30th 2013 came to $367.7 million (236.75 million pounds), thanks to stable market trends, strong healthcare orders and the positive impact of recent acquisitions.

An improved performance for its healthcare division helped to counterbalance the slight decline experienced by its life sciences business.

Based upon current trends, Steris has affirmed all elements of its original outlook for fiscal 2014, which includes revenue growth in the range of eight to ten percent for the full year.

Walt Rosebrough, president and chief executive officer of Steris, said: "We expect a strong second half of the year as the investments we are making begin to pay off and revenue growth continues."

This builds on the better-than-expected business performance the company experienced during the 2013 fiscal year.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801623178-ADNFCR
