Steris showcases infection prevention tool at APIC 2013
Steris has showcased and unveiled new infection prevention solutions at the annual conference of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) in Florida.
Running from June 8th to 10th, the event gave Steris the opportunity to demonstrate its Pathogon UV Disinfection System and VaproQuip Decontamination Room solutions, while revealing new user-friendly labeling for its critical hand hygiene formulations.
These new labels are simple to interpret and clarify specific benefits and antimicrobial capabilities of the products, making them easier to use for clinicians.
Other new offerings showcased at the Florida event included the Revital-Ox Resert XL HLD High Level Disinfectant, designed as a fast, safe alternative to aldehydes that avoids the need for special ventilation.
Charlie Kilfoyle, senior product manager at Steris, said: "We conducted customer research with infection preventionists, physicians and nurses to better understand what key information needed to be most clearly and immediately identifiable on a healthcare hand hygiene label."
This comes after the firm launched its new VaproQuip Decontamination Room, a new modular environmental surface decontamination solution, last month.
