Thermo Fisher Scientific introduces new freezer range
Thermo Fisher Scientific has unveiled a new range of freezers said to maximise storage capacity yet maintain the same footprint.
Launched by the group’s Thermo Scientific division, the HERAfreeze HD ultra-low temperature upright models extend the existing HERAfreeze line and provide thin-wall insulation for sector professionals.
Energy efficiency, fast recovery times and temperature stability aim to give users the highest possible integrity for samples – 70,000 of which can be contained in the 702-litre holder.
The company said this is a market-leading capacity for a freezer of this size, although those needing something bigger can alternatively select the 889-litre model.
Other benefits include quiet operation for a "more productive working environment" and a completely programmable microprocessor control system with specific and precise temperature setpoints for accurate condition monitoring.
Thermo Fisher Scientific has over 30,000 employees across the globe and serves some 350,000 customers.
Last month those in science sales jobs may have seen the firm exhibit its new technologies and products at the Pittcon 2009 event.
