Thermo Fisher Scientific launches new products at Pittcon

Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced the launch of a new range of product innovations at the Pittcon laboratory science industry meeting.

During the conference in Orlando, the company will for the first time be demonstrating its expanded product range following the recent acquisition of chromatography specialist Dionex.

Among the new offerings on display will be the Thermo Scientific Dionex ICS-4000 and Thermo Scientific Dionex ICS-5000 ion chromatography devices, as well as the compact Thermo Scientific Trace 1300 gas chromatography system.

Other new products include innovations in mass spectrometry, spectrophotometry and narcotics analysis, as well as lab management software and support services.

Marc Casper, president and chief executive officer of Thermo Fisher Scientific, said: "We can deliver a tightly integrated value proposition to customers based on the most comprehensive offering in the industry."

Last year, Thermo Fisher Scientific enjoyed a record-breaking financial performance, with annual sales rising by 11 percent thanks to the takeovers of Dionex and Phadia.
