Unity hired for GlaxoSmithKline flu remedy campaign
Unity will be carrying out a PR and social media campaign on behalf of GlaxoSmithKline, which is seeking to revamp the brand image of its flu remedy portfolio.
The agency has been handed a brief worth around 300,000 pounds that will see it launching new advertisements for products such as Day and Night Nurse and Beechams, with the aim of creating a more engaging personality for the brand, reports PRWeek.
Work will be carried out in partnership with an in-house team, while attracting third-party endorsement has also been identified as a goal.
A well-placed agency source involved in the pitch told the publication the consumer-facing work will move beyond simply communicating the value of the products and will instead focus on creating a better relationship with customers.
"It's also about reminding consumers that the products are out there all year round, beyond the traditional cold and flu winter seasons," the source added.
Unity was named outstanding PR agency of the year at the 2012 Chartered Institute of Public Relations Awards, while it is currently up for the title of consumer agency of the year at the European Sabre Awards.
