Verderflex VF peristaltic pump ‘easier to maintain than rivals’
Verderflex has asserted that its VF peristaltic pump is far easier to maintain than other positive displacement pumps because of its quick maintenance capabilities.
In a statement, the organisation explained that the hose pump can run dry, while the simple flange arrangements and rotor design make the hardware "perfect" for severe mining applications.
Of the device, Verderflex said: "It just runs and works when you need it to."
The company made its comments after noting that a South African vanadium facility is using a VF pump system to obtain the material it needs from titaniferous magnetite, which is processed in various stages using hardware such as positive displacement and transfer pumps, as well as displacement tanks.
"Vanadium occurs naturally in about 65 different minerals and in fossil fuel deposits. It is produced from steel smelter slag, the flue dust of heavy oil, or as a byproduct of uranium mining," Verderflex explained.
Earlier this month, the company announced the launch of its Verderflex Aura dosing pump.
