Virbac Animal Health appoints new marketing manager
Virbac Animal Health has announced the appointment of Simon Boulton as marketing manager of its companion animal sector, based on his successes with company over the last three years.
Mr Boulton originally joined Virbac in 2010 as product manager and was responsible for overseeing the launch of CaniLeish, the first vaccine for leishmaniosis licensed for use in Europe.
He went on to become the firm's senior product manager, taking charge of its vaccine, antibiotic, anaesthetic and diagnostics ranges, along with the Virbagen Omega, Soloxine and Tiacil brands.
In his new role, he will be responsible for developing marketing programmes and initiatives across Virbac's companion animal product range, working in tandem with the product management team.
Chris Liggett, marketing director at Virbac, said: "In his new role, he will be bringing the benefits of his creative flair to our entire companion animal range."
Earlier this month, the company announced that its Twitter-based canine parvovirus (CPV) early warning system @parvoalert will be sponsoring PupAid, an annual anti-puppy farming event that will be held in London this September.
