Waters becomes exclusive distributor of Fusion Method Development software

Waters revealed this week that it has become the exclusive distributor of Fusion Method Development software, which was developed by S-Matrix Corporation.

The product works with Waters’ Empower 2 chromatography data software (CDS) and ACQUITY UltraPerformance LC (UPLC) to automate liquid chromatographic method development according to Quality-by-Design (QbD) regulations.

According to the firm, Fusion accelerates method development and also enables the development of more vigorous methods which withstand the test of repeated use.

Additionally, it makes use of a patented approach built on sound statistical process control techniques and computes and models the impact of key chromatographic parameters on method robustness.

In other Waters news, last week the firm shipped its first batch of SYNAPT G2 Mass Spectrometers to Europe.

The instruments will be distributed to key academic research centres across the continent, as well as chemical research laboratories and global pharmaceutical companies.
