Weber Shandwick appoints new technology director

Weber Shandwick has appointed Simon Rothwell as a director of its UK technology practice.

Mr Rothwell joins the agency this month after spending 13 years with Harvard PR and the Good Relations Group, most recently in the role of associate director.

During his time in this position, he led a team serving high-profile technology sector clients such as BlackBerry manufacturer Research in Motion, as well as Adobe, Cisco and Nvidia.

He has been appointed in light of the departure of Weber Shandwick's youngest ever technology director Tali Kramer, who is set to leave the company later this month to take up a role at College Hill in April 2013.
