Welch Allyn appoints new chief financial officer
Welch Allyn has announced the appointment of Joseph Hennigan as its new executive vice-president and chief financial officer (CFO).
Mr Hennigan is the former managing director of the Allyn Family Office, a provider of legal, tax, investment and other services to the shareholders of Welch Allyn, while prior to this he spent time as CFO of HandHeld Products.
In his new role, he will be tasked with leading the company's global finance team to align finance and business strategies with its overall operational objectives, working closely with the executive staff and board of directors.
Due to his history with the Allyn Family Office, he is already closely acquainted with many members of the corporate leadership team.
Steve Meyer, president and chief executive officer of Welch Allyn, said: "Joe brings his previous experience as a CFO and distinctive knowledge of the healthcare industry to the company, as well as extensive tax, merger and acquisition, financial planning and analysis and accounting expertise."
This follows a number of structural changes taking place at Welch Allyn this year, including the appointment of Mr Meyer in March 2012 as the successor to Julie Shimer.
