ZooBiotic to be renamed BioMonde in spring 2011

ZooBiotic has announced plans to rebrand itself under the name BioMonde from spring 2011 onwards as it looks to maintain its international growth.

The South Wales-based provider of medicinal larvae and larvae dressings is taking the name of Germany's BioMonde, which was acquired by ZooBiotic in 2010 in order to help the company to establish a mainland European presence.

This transition process will begin with the introduction of the BioMonde logo on ZooBiotic's marketing and support materials.

Its UK operations will be renamed completely later this year, with the BioMonde name having been selected due to its relevance to the growing international market.

"The ZooBiotic organisation, products, resources and staff will remain the same as they are now and ZooBiotic will continue to operate from its large custom-built facility in Bridgend," the company explained.

ZooBiotic was originally founded in 2005 and offers a range of products in the field, including BioFOAM dressings and the LarvE brand of medicinal quality larvae.
