Sirona agrees endodontics partnership with Dentsply and VDW

Sirona has announced a partnership with Dentsply Maillefer and VDW that will allow users of the Teneo treatment centre to access integrated endodontic instruments.

The companies have been working together on this since autumn 2014 and have revealed that the Waveone and Reciproc leading reciprocating file systems are now available as part of the Teneo treatment centre for the first time.

Teneo installations can also be retrofitted, regardless of whether the functional package is already integrated for endodontics or implantology. The integration helps to guarantee efficient, safe and hygienic treatment.

According to the companies, this is the first product of a wider cooperative relationship between the three organisations.

Michael Geil, vice-president for treatment centres at Sirona, said: "The integration of the reciprocating function in the treatment centre aids the work of dentists and helps to make the workflow for endodontic treatments even more efficient."

The announcement has been made ahead of the International Dental Show, which takes place in Cologne from March 10th to 14th. Sirona will be unveiling four new design concepts for its treatment centres during the event.
