Solventum’s Clarity Orthodontic Line Gains Market Share

30th September 2026

Solventum (NYSE: SOLV, formerly 3M Health Care) continues sharpening its Clarity orthodontic franchise across ceramic brackets, clear aligners and 3D-printed precision attachments, extending three decades of orthodontic material science leadership. Reported on 25 September 2026, Solventum’s Clarity range spans Clarity Advanced Ceramic Brackets (since 1996), Clarity Ultra Self-Ligating Brackets, Clarity Aligners and the recently launched Clarity Precision Grip Attachments, sharpening competitive positioning across the growing global aesthetic orthodontics category.

Clarity Advanced Ceramic Brackets deliver a low-profile, translucent, stain-resistant aesthetic bracket alternative to metal brackets, featuring a proprietary Stress Concentrator for predictable debonding and fine-grained ceramic material through an injection-molding process. Clarity Aligners offer a full clear aligner treatment franchise, with Clarity Precision Grip Attachments (launched November 2024) becoming the first 3D-printed aligner attachments on the market and eliminating the technique-sensitive attachment creation process that has traditionally slowed aligner workflows. All Clarity products integrate with Solventum’s cloud-based Oral Care Portal (OCP).

Karim Mansour, President of Dental Solutions at Solventum, has positioned the Clarity franchise strategy around solving customer workflow challenges. Following Solventum’s April 2024 spin-off from 3M, the Clarity portfolio remains one of the company’s strongest branded franchises within its Dental Solutions segment, competing across the rapidly consolidating global orthodontics market. Direct competitors include Align Technology (Invisalign), Envista Holdings (Spark aligners, Ormco brackets), Dentsply Sirona (SureSmile), Straumann Group (ClearCorrect), Henry Schein Orthodontics and American Orthodontics. The category faces intensifying digital workflow, DSO consolidation and consumer-direct aligner pressure.

The commercial signal is a rapidly consolidating global aesthetic orthodontics market where integrated digital workflows, DSO channel strategies and aesthetic-focused product portfolios are emerging as key competitive differentiators. Solventum’s Clarity franchise strengthens its post-3M positioning. Expect Align Technology, Envista Holdings, Dentsply Sirona, Straumann Group, Henry Schein Orthodontics and American Orthodontics to sharpen their aesthetic orthodontic positioning through the rest of 2026 and 2027.
